Kia ora! My name is Hayley and I'm the quilt designer behind Sew Paper Designs. I live in New Zealand with my husband, our daughter, and four chickens.

I love all things foundation paper piecing and design patterns that I want to sew and hopefully that other people want to as well :-) My patterns often reflect what is going on in my family's daily lives and our current interests. 

5 fun facts about me: 

1. I love crime shows (Law & Order: SVU, Criminal Minds, Blacklist, NCIS etc) but can only watch them when my husband isn't home (he works in that field and doesn't want to hear it when he comes home).
2. I have severe ADHD (combined type) that makes me feel like a walking paradox. ADHD is often described as a "superpower" but it's a superpower you have no control over.
3. I'm left-handed and do most things "back-to-front."
4. I love studying and in addition to my Bachelors of Therapeutic & Sports Massage, I have certificates in environmental management and early childhood education, diploma in sport science, postgrad certificate in science communication, and am completing another certificate in adult and tertiary education.
5. I started FPP because I could not sew a straight line and wanted to make my daughter a growth chart. I still can't sew straight unless I'm paper piecing!
